About The Project
TPT Trails worked with the Shoshone National Forest to propose, design and construct a new alignment of the Continental Divide Trail (CDT) from Togwotee Pass to Bear Cub Pass. After considerable discussion, it was agreed to build the new section of trail to IMBA standards. This was the first section of the CDT built to IMBA standards in the northern Rockies. The CDT inter-governmental coordinator and other forest executives toured this section of the CDT and were very impressed with the construction. They support converting other sections of the CDT to IMBA standards.
