About The Project
After the Round Top trail was completed, there was a need to develop a loop trail around the summit of Round Top. This trail provides spectacular 360-degree views of the southern Bighorn Basin. This project required hauling all materials and equipment by hand to top of Round Top. This trail involved moving considerable rock, constructing some smaller retaining walls, and constructing a wooden bridge. In conjunction with the Round Top trail, the Summit loop is very popular with hikers and mountain bikers.
